Monday the 4th is Labor Day in the U.S. Most other countries honor workers on May 1st. In fact, International Workers' Day was first celebrated on May Day in Chicago in 1886. You can learn more about this distinctly American holiday here, at the U.S. Department of Labor's page about it.
